I am six weeks old in these pictures. Notice that at this age I do not have symmetrical
markings on the bridge of my nose. If the markings are not symmetrical when I grow
up I will be neutered so I can't pass this serious fault on to my offspring.

The following picture was taken at almost 10 weeks of age. see how the dark is getting darker, and he is getting more intense coloring under the eyes. He still shows that his mask is not symmetrical which will cause me to disqualify him from breeding or showing in conformation shows, unless you all get together and mentally draw that marking near the left eye down so it matches with the one on the right.

ALASCO'S SHUBLIK was born on December 29, 2002. She will probably grow to be a Miniature in size. She is grey and white with brown eyes, and at the time the photo was taken she has completely symmetrical markings. If we are lucky enough to receive adult pictures and post them here, you will be surprised at how the Grey and White Alaskan Klee Kai darken during their teen-age months.

Sometimes when you have lots of puppies together strange things happen. As you can see in the pictures above, Shublik's ears were strongly erect -- however 10 weeks of age we had a terrible shock when we woke in the morning. See the first picture below. Three days later we had made some progress as you can see in the second picture below -- one ear was coming back up.
At 13 weeks the ears were nicely up again, and if you look carefully you can see how her colors were starting to develop. The mask now looks rather like a racoon with the darker markings coming in.
Shublik has gone to her new family and we look forward to receiving some family pictures to post. You will eventually find those pictures under the name ALASCO'S SASHA as that will become her registered name.

These pictures were taken at 6 weeks of age, and show that his mask is NOT symmetrical at the time. Our experience tells us that as the mask darkens, what is dark gets darker and what is light gets lighter, therefore it is not anticipated that this little boy will have a symmetrical mask so he probably will not be one that you see in the show circuit (in Conformation Rings), nor is it probable that he will be producing babies. He is most likely one of the special ones that have been placed on this earth to give high quality love and companionship to his family in return for the same.
We look forward to getting new pictures of him as he grows. His new name is ALASCO'S KODIAK MOSER.

She is grey and white with brown eyes and possibly will be of the longer coated variety. Note that her tail is shorter than it should be. She is six weeks old in this picture.

ALASCO'S BENJI Born on December 24, 2002. Beautiful little male dog that will probably be miniature or standard size. He is short of five months of age in this picture and will not be granted breeding privileges because of retained testicles. We do not allow any dogs to be in the breeding program that carry any disqualifying factors as we don't want those disqualifications to be passed on to offspring.
